About
If you find yourself in Iloilo City, let me introduce you to a hidden gem that is turning heads with its seafood offerings - Dayneto Seafood Grill & Restaurant, nestled in the picturesque Brgy, Costa Del Estrella Food Park. This charming spot promises an unforgettable culinary escape with its focus on fresh, quality seafood that will leave your taste buds dancing.
Upon stepping into Dayneto, the first thing that strikes you is the tantalizing aroma of the sea. Dishes like their kinilaw have garnered rave reviews for their perfect balance of flavor, exhibiting a delightful hint of sweetness. It's a must-try that encapsulates the essence of fresh seafood dining. The female crabs come highly recommended, boasting an impressive fat content that reflects great value for your money.
While the menu showcases a variety of seafood, one must note some feedback on portion sizes. Patrons have mentioned that while the taste is undeniably good, the portioning can feel slightly less generous when compared to similar establishments in the area. It's something to keep in mind, especially when ordering specialties like the grilled managat or the Crispy pata, which, although tasty, might not match the expectations set by other seafood venues nearby.
The surrounding atmosphere of Dayneto also adds to the experience. Despite some minor hurdles, like fly management and the use of margarine instead of butter in their sauce, many diners found the friendly service to be a redeeming quality. Staff members, including Judy, are known for their attentiveness, often going above and beyond to ensure that your dining experience is pleasant.
Let’s not forget the complimentary soup provided to warm you up before indulging in your seafood feast. Such thoughtful touches elevate your dining experience at Dayneto, making it a welcoming spot to linger over good food and company.
In summary, Dayneto Seafood Grill & Restaurant stands out for its fresh and clean seafood offerings, friendly service, and sunny atmosphere. While there may be a few areas for improvement regarding portion sizes and pest management, the overall experience is worth the visit. Next time you’re in Iloilo, don’t miss the chance to discover this seafood sensation that promises both value and flavor!
“ The food was enjoyable, especially the crab meat. That said, the price felt a bit high compared to similar restaurants nearby, given the portion size. Honestly disappointed when we received our “large” grilled managat and our Crispy pata For 700 and 795 pesos it was quite small. Nevertheless, it still tasted good. Given that seafood restaurants in the area usually serve generous portions, I expected more. ”
“ Dined last week and the food is good. The staffs are very accommodating. Will definitely Dine again ”
“ The foods we ate were delicious but the native chicken adobo stood out for me. Their prices are not that expensive. ”
“ I had a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience at Dayneto Seafood Grill & Restaurant. The seafood was incredibly fresh, with mud crabs, tiger prawns, tangigue, and oysters, all offered at very affordable prices. Many of the dishes had a pronounced sweetness, which seems to be a hallmark of Iloilo cuisine. While I personally prefer a saltier flavor, I still appreciated how well the food was cooked and presented. The service was prompt, and the food arrived with minimal waiting time. Overall, I left as a satisfied customer and would recommend this place, especially for those who enjoy sweeter seafood dishes. ”
“ Dayneto is a very great find during my latest trip to Iloilo. It was quite a drive from the town proper but absolutely worth it. All dishes were fresh and value for money. Go for the kinilaw and lobster. Judy, our server went above and beyond, explaining what’s best to be ordered, she even helped us hail a cab since it was late at night and no grab is available in the area! ”
“ We had a wonderful dining experience at Dayneto Restaurant. The food was exceptional — especially the lobster, Cajun crab, and kilawin. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. A special mention goes to Judy, who assisted us throughout our visit. She was attentive and make sure we were comfortable. She even helped us book a Grab ride back to Iloilo proper, which we truly appreciated. Her hospitality and professionalism made our visit even more memorable. I highly recommend her for her outstanding service. ”
“ When it comes to seafoods, undoubtedly they’re fresh. The kinilaw was balanced to a hint of sweet. The female crabs were fat, great value. But the butter sauce wasn’t butter but margarine. They oysters were fresh but not that plump. They were kind to give up free soup to warm up prior to eating raw/steamed seafoods. Our server was attentive, so the person who manages the live seafood station, he obliged to my request which crabs to get. The flies though as a let down. I hope they are able to manage this. But the experience overall is still worth the detour. ”
“ Fresh and clean seafoods. Crabs, shrimp and squid cooked to perfection. The food really taste great. Would surely come back to this place. I highly recommend the place. Was not able to take many photos though ”
